Fr. Emmanuel Offiong
Founder
Fr. Offiong, a priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Calabar-Nigeria currently serving as a hospital chaplain in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Des Moines; Iowa – USA. He is a cleric, with a passion for education and community development. After several years of experience serving in rural communities, he has been desirous of improving the lives of children in rural and marginalized communities of Cross River State, Nigeria, through access to education, health care services and economic empowerment opportunities
Cathy Eastwood
President
Cathy is the esteemed Board Chair of MISSIONCARE. She is a devoted wife, mother of three and proud grandmother Cathy’s nurturing spirit extends far beyond her family. With a fulfilling career as a retired nurse, she has dedicated her life to serving humanity. Her commitment to faith and service is further reflected in her active involvement with the Legion of Mary.Under Cathy’s leadership, MISSIONCARE is poised to continue its mission of compassion and care, inspiring hope and positive change in the lives of those we serve.
Burton Raush
Vice President
Burton Rauch, is Vice President of MISSIONCARE. As an accomplished farmer with a deep love for nature, Burton brings strong work ethics and appreciation for the land to our organization. His commitment to MISSIONCARE is guided by the core principles of the Knights of Columbus: charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. Through his leadership, Burton helps advance MISSIONCARE’s vision, serving others with compassion and dedication.
Dennis Shea
Secretary
Dennis Shea is the Secretary for Mission Care and he is currently serving as Chaplain for Catholic based CHI Health Mercy Hospital, he and his wife Angie, also serve as Board Members for Gabriel’s Corner Pregnancy Center all in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Dennis & Angie are long time members of Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church. Dennis is an active member of the Knights of Columbus, formerly holding positions of District Deputy and Culture of Life Director for the State of Iowa. Dennis & Angie have three grown children with eight grandchildren.
Diane Brisso

Dianne’s extensive experience as a dental assistant for 40 years combined with her compassionate nature makes her an asset to MissionCare. Her selfless dedication to caring for others is evident in her willingness to volunteer her time and talents within her church and beyond. Dianne’s caring approach benefits everyone she meets, and her roles as a mother and grandmother showcase her nurturing. We are blessed to have you on MissionCare board.
Decn. Jean Plourdes

Jean Plourde, a dedicated board member of MISSIONCARE. As a Retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant and Roman Catholic deacon, Jean brings a unique blend of technical expertise and spiritual devotion to our organization. Jean is Married to Kathy, and both founded the Gabriel’s Corner providing vital support and guidance to individuals facing unplanned pregnancies. At MISSIONCARE, Jean continues to share his compassion and commitment, helping extend God’s love and mercy to those in need.
Eileen Smith

Eileen is a devoted board member of MISSIONCARE. As a loving wife to Danny, mother of 5, and proud grandmother of 9. Eileen’s passion for life and dedication to serving others shines through in her work. A committed legionary and passionate advocate for life. Eileen is driven to make a difference in the lives of children worldwide who lack access to basic necessities. Her love for kids and commitment to their well-being inspire her service on our board.
Denis Mcenearney

Dennis is a Grand Knight of Columbus and a dedicated board member of MISSIONCARE. With his background as a retired operating engineer, Denis brings a strong foundation of service and dedication. His passion for community and church work has energized MISSIONCARE’s mission, connecting people to meaningful opportunities to serve the poor and vulnerable. As a board member, Denis is a tireless connector, inspiring others to join in serving those in need with love and care. Dennis is happily married to Toya.
Dennis O’Toole

Dennis is a valued member of our board, bringing his expertise as a retired Certified Public Accountant (CPA). With extensive experience in accounting. He provides crucial financial guidance to MISSIONCARE, helping us overcome financial challenges. Dennis is married to Ann and we appreciate his commitment to our organization.
GLORIA HANEY
Member
Gloria is a devoted member of MissionCare. She is a loving wife to Rick, a mother of three boys, a grandmother of six, and a great-grandmother to one. Goria was born in Colombia, a third-world country, and so she has firsthand knowledge of the poverty and deprivation endured by children and families in this region.
Education and Evangelization are dear to her heart. Working in many aspects of the Church, ministry, especially administration, brings her talent and experience to MissionCare. Gloria is a committed Legionary, and she is passionate about bringing Christ’s hope and help to the world, making her a valuable asset to our board.
