Every day, I see children walking miles to attend school hungry and barefooted, only to find themselves in overcrowded, open and under-resourced classrooms. Also, I see families struggling to make ends meet, forced to choose between feeding their children and sending them to school. Some parents go to the extent of compelling their kids to work in their farms and as well hawk on the streets.

There is no gainsaying that the devastating impacts of poverty, inequality, and lack of access to basic services in the rural areas are very devastating to these innocent and vulnerable children.

Driven by the strong desire to offer quality education to vulnerable children in our rural communities, we desire to educate as many poor children as possible. If you feel called to take up this noble task of sponsoring one or more children, kindly visit our website at; www.mymissioncare.org and donate for a child or more.

Nonetheless, I also see the resilience, the determination, and the hope in the eyes of these children. They are the future of our nation, our hope for a better world, and it is our collective spiritual responsibility to ensure that they receive the support and opportunities they deserve, (Cf: Mark 6:37).

It is on this note that I call upon you all to come to the aid of these suffering kids by taking a bold step in this direction. You may support them by making a yearly or a one-off donation for the number of kids you may so wish. Remember the words of Jesus Christ : “whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me.” – Matthew 25:40-45.
